There’s been happy tears at the Cosmo office and a lot of ‘awwws’, too. When Lester Chee, 26, proposed to his beautiful girlfriend Sandy Wong, 27, LIVE on the pages of our February issue, we all fell a little bit (okay, a lot) in love with the gorgeous couple.
A true romantic, Lester has been working top secret style with us at Cosmo for the last few months. He wanted to ask Sandy to spend the rest of her life with him in a totally unique way and of course we wanted to help.
Ummm…is that MY boyfriend??!!
‘WILL YOU?’ Sandy?
We caught up with Sandy and her girlfriends – you know, for ‘market research’ and Sandy’s reaction to seeing page 73 of the mag was priceless. Confused, stunned and smiling, she said, “Oh, that looks like Lester!” Cue the man himself rolling by on a vintage bike adorned with flowers. Crowds of friends and family awaited the couple on top of the Fullerton Pavillion, where Lester popped the BIG question:
And Yes. She said YES! There were tears and cheers, in equal measure and it was a perfect #cosmoment!
Congratulations Lester and Sandy!
And to all men everywhere? We apologise. How will you ever live up to this man?
